To celebrate its 90th anniversary and raise money for Sport ReliefEngland Netball decided to attempt the ultimate team challenge and set a Guinness World Records title for the Most players in a netball exhibition match.

An incredible 1,322 sportsmen and women came together to play for 90 hours with no rest breaks at the Play On Sports Centre in London, UK.

Official Guinness World Records adjudicator Anna Orford attended the event and was thrilled to announce that England Netball has successfully achieved the title.

Each netball team that took part in the record attempt contributed a donation to Sports Relief, raising an approximate total of £20,000.

England Netball CEO Joanna Adams, said: “This has been a fantastic way for our National Governing Body to celebrate turning 90. Once again our Netball Family has proven how inspiring, generous and dedicated they are.”
