This group of players went as a ‘Roos’ team to South Africa in 1986. Usually, the Roos Club was made up of ‘England players who had toured abroad’. However, not all of this set were England players, or even internationals; it was a ‘scratch’ team that Mary French wanted to take to SA, to help spread the netballing word.
