Sussex Netball League held their Open Mixed Tournament in the summer of 1984. The tournament was won by Skyscrapers that included three giants from Worthing Bears Basketball Club: a 6ft 8in GK, a 6ft 7in centre court player and a 7ft GS! They proved too much for Wombles Netball Club in the semi-final and Skyscrapers went on to beat Saltdean 8-4 in the final.
