The Barbados Trophy was originally presented by Marva Sealy from Barbados to Jean Robinson, President, at the Wembley dinner following the England v World Tournament 7 match. The new trophy was for club Under 18 teams who get knocked out in Round One of the National Clubs Competition Under 18 age group. The Barbados Trophy is played at the end of the season as a weekend tournament, along with the Somerset Trophy. This was suspended when the National Clubs Tournament became the Butter Club and re-instated around 1986/87.
